Open Position: Dietitian - Registered Dietician

Opportunity:

Clinical Dietitian

Job Details:

* Day shift schedule working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Must be able to function as an acute inpatient clinical dietitian independently
* Extensive experience working with Parenteral Nutrition required
* Experience in all clinical areas required with ability to pass competencies within first few days
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Perform nutritional assessments and reassessments of patients to determine those at nutritional risk
* Develop and implement nutritional plans of care including appropriate meal patterns, monitoring nutritional intake, and initiating appropriate interventions
* Provide nutritional education to patients, families, and healthcare team members
* Document all interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards
* Administer medical nutrition therapy in a safe and accurate manner
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to communicate and coordinate patient nutritional care
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
* Current BLS certification required
