Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed is an option
* Mid-shift schedule with hours ranging as early as 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM to as late as 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM
* Every third weekend required
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department
* Floating is rare and only occurs if other staff have been flexed home
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, TCRN
* Current Kansas RN license required
* Must have knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage
* Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
* Equipment used includes Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Required to use AIDET communication framework and whiteboards for patient experience
* Dress code: Cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants, solid color, closed-toe shoes required

Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center featuring a 24-bed Emergency Department supported by unit secretaries 21 hours per day and a core nursing staff. The department is equipped with advanced medical technology and focuses on delivering high-quality emergency and trauma care. The facility promotes a positive, can-do culture with an emphasis on patient experience through structured communication practices.
