Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No on-call requirements
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks
* Must be trained on CVICU devices to support CV cases
* 2 or more years of ICU experience required
* Required skills: Hemodynamic monitoring including swans and art lines, ventilator management, and strong critical thinking skills
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
* Active Texas RN license required; temporary license not accepted
* Preferred skills: IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, and Meditech charting/order entry
* Procedures performed on unit include post CABG, post VAD, and post cath with various cardiac support devices including IABP, Impella, and ECMO
* Documentation system: Meditech
* All travelers are required to float per facility floating policy
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails required
* Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
* Badging in and out for each shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch break
* Must clock in by 6:38 AM or PM; after 6:45 AM or PM is considered tardy
