Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with multiple shift time options: 6:00 AM?6:30 PM, 9:00 AM?9:30 PM, 11:00 AM?11:30 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 3:00 PM?3:30 AM, or 6:00 PM?6:30 AM
* Mid/evening contracts are considered 12:00 PM?3:00 PM start times
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday coverage as needed per unit
* RTO approval up to 7 days; additional days require nurse manager email
* 32-bed emergency department with an average daily census of 90?110 patients
* Patient ratio: RN 1:4, PCT 1:6?12
* Common diagnoses include general ED complaints, abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, behavioral health patients, geriatrics, and occasional labor and delivery
* Minimum 2+ years of ED experience required for traditional traveler; 4 years minimum for CAP
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB 12 or CPI
* General ED clinical skills required
* Soft skills required: team player, organized, strong communication, and time management
* EMR: EPIC
* IV Pump: Alaris
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* No floating required
* Scrub color: Any
* Free parking available

Facility:

This emergency department facility operates a 32-bed unit with robust around-the-clock support services including receptionist and health unit coordinator coverage 24/7, respiratory therapy, hospitalist services, and ED physicians and mid-level providers. The department maintains a strong team-oriented culture with dedicated charge nurses who do not take patients, as well as PCT, phlebotomy, and lab support to ensure comprehensive patient care delivery.
