Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
* On-call requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
* Float to all Med/Surg departments as needed
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Use EPIC electronic medical records system
* Grey scrubs required
* Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
* BLS Certification via AHA required
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
* Practice independently in clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
* Provide routine and complex care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
