RN - Med-Surg

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Day shift and night shift positions available on a 24-bed Med-Surg unit located on 4th floor, Tower B
* 4 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) required per 4-week period
* Patient ratio of 6:1
* Prior inpatient acute care experience required
* Basic dysrhythmias knowledge required
* Experience at a trauma center preferred
* Perform procedures including PIV insertion/management/removal, central line management/removal, Foley insertion/management/removal, NG insertion/management/removal, drain management/removal, wound care and ostomy management, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube management, and EKGs
* Operate equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Hoyer and Sarah Steady lifts, feeding pumps, Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines, iMobile, and Vein Finder
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* EMR system: Meditech
* Scrub color: Royal blue; black pants are permitted

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated Med-Surg unit staffed with a charge nurse, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and a unit clerk across both day and night shifts. The unit supports a comprehensive range of medical-surgical procedures and utilizes modern equipment to deliver high-quality patient care. A Virtual Admission RN is available on the unit from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM to further support patient intake and care coordination.
