Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* 7N Cardiac Telemetry unit located on the 7th floor of the main hospital
* Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
* 36-bed unit with a team of 70 staff members
* Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements required
* Experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
* NIH certification preferred
* Required certification: ACLS
* Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines
* EMR system: Meditech
* Scrub color: Grey for RNs
* 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for days
* Floating to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU may be required
* Fast-paced, high energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork preferred

The unit provides specialized cardiac care including post-cath recovery, pacemaker placements, and stroke management, supported by modern equipment and technology.
