Open Position: RN - Hematology Oncology

Opportunity:

Infusion RN

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule with no on-call requirements
* Rare instances of overtime may be required if patient reactions or complexities occur during treatment
* No weekend shifts required
* Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
* 40 orientation hours required
* Administer IV therapy for patients with various diagnoses including oncology and hematology
* Primarily support non-chemotherapy patient population with scope of work including iron infusions, Reclast/Zometa infusions, Zoladex/Lupron/Faslodex injections, port flushes, occasional hydration treatments, phlebotomy, and rare genetic testing and liquid biopsy procedures
* Inpatient or outpatient oncology experience highly preferred
* Experience caring for chemotherapy patients with an extensive range of cancer diagnoses highly preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local and travel candidates accepted
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: BLS, CRNI
* ONS/ONCC certification a plus but not required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* No float between units required

Facility:

This outpatient cancer center specializes in oncology and hematology patient care, providing comprehensive infusion services to patients across a wide range of cancer diagnoses. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and has pharmacy interdisciplinary support available. With 29 treatment rooms and a daily census of 24 patients, this center is dedicated to delivering high-quality infusion therapy in an outpatient setting.
