WA LICSW Psych ED

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts with schedule options of Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Evenings: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 7
* Float to sister hospital ED to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room department
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatric patients
* Complete evaluations for level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or gravely disabled as directed by ED attending provider or APP
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments and mental health assessments
* Provide crisis intervention and management including for suicide, homicide, and self-harm situations
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning and coordinate care with internal and external team members
* Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
* Must hold full independent clinical licensure - associate license will not suffice
* Must be licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; hospital experience preferred
* At least 3 years of experience preferred
* Proficiency with Epic charting system required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, as well as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it provides a dynamic and educational environment for healthcare professionals. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers no-cost parking for staff.
