Job Details:

* Variable day/mid shift with potential to transition into a mid/evening shift
* Day/Mid shift start times: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM
* Mid/Evening shift start times: 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 3:00 PM
* Shift times: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 3:00 AM - 3:30 AM, or 6:00 AM - 6:30 AM
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday coverage as needed per unit
* Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; CAP requires a minimum of 4 years
* First-time travelers are not accepted
* Patient ratio: 1:4 (RN) and 1:6-12 (PCT)
* Treat general ED complaints including abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, behavioral health patients, and geriatric patients
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB 12 or CPI
* Proficiency in general ED clinical skills required
* Strong soft skills required: team player, organized, strong communication, and time management
* EMR system: EPIC
* IV Pump: Alaris
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Scrub color: Any
* Free parking available
* No floating required

Facility:

This facility operates a 32-bed emergency department seeing an average of 90 to 110 patients daily. The department is supported by a robust team including PCTs, a receptionist and HUC available 24/7, a dedicated charge nurse, respiratory therapy available 24/7, hospitalists available 24/7, and ED physicians and mid-level providers. The facility utilizes a clinical interviewing process and provides structured orientation including general hospital orientation followed by supervised and independent shifts to ensure staff are well-prepared for the unit's workflow.
