Job Details:

* 10-hour shifts with variable start times of 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, or 10:30 AM
* Possible weekend shifts as needed with call requirements
* Must be available to work 7 days a week unless approved by nurse manager
* Shift times will vary based on department needs (possibly weekly, not daily)
* 8-hour day shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; 8-hour evening shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
* 10-hour day shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM; 10-hour evening shift: 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM
* 12-hour day shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
* Night shift schedule: 7 days on/7 days off with 8-hour weeknights and 12-hour weekend nights
* Schedule operates in 6-week increments
* On-call required: 4-6 call shifts per 6-week period from 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM with a 30-minute response time
* No sleep rooms available for on-call shifts
* Weekend rotation required based on department needs
* Minimum 2 years of acute/inpatient OR experience required
* First-time travelers will not be accepted
* Strong orthopedic experience required including sports medicine, total joints, and orthopedic spine
* DaVinci Robotics experience required; Mazor robotics experience preferred
* RN responsibilities include circulating and experience with ENT, general, GYN, vascular, urology, and podiatry cases
* Surgical Tech responsibilities include scrubbing with experience in above cases
* Anesthesia Tech responsibilities include supporting anesthesia with robotics, art line management, Ranger massive transfusions, blood warmer, intubation, and tracking cart and anesthesia machine
* Anesthesia Tech scheduling: 6:00 AM or 8:30 AM start Monday through Friday; call required on weekends only (2-3 weekends per 6-week schedule)
* Anesthesia Tech required to float to support IR, Cath Lab, OB, GI, and MRI
* RN and Surgical Tech may float to inpatient areas or ER during low census; will not take patient assignments or administer medications; tasks may include vital signs, sitter duties, stocking, or CNA-type tasks
* Required certifications for RN: BLS
* Required certifications for Surgical Tech: BLS and state license; CST preferred
* Required certifications for Anesthesia Tech: BLS and ASATT certification
* EMR: EPIC experience required for CAP backfills and preceptors
* IV pump: Alaris; medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Parking is free
* No phones permitted on the unit
* Break requirements: 12-hour shifts include three 15-minute rest breaks and one 30-minute lunch; 8-hour and 10-hour shifts include two 15-minute rest breaks and one 30-minute lunch
* Soft skills required: flexibility, teamwork orientation, reliability, and positive attitude

Facility:

This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 375 beds, featuring 11 operating rooms and 1 hybrid room, averaging 40-50 surgical cases per day. The facility offers a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, GYN, vascular, urology, and podiatry, supported by a robust team of anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, charge RNs, hospitalists, and respiratory therapists.
