Opportunity:
RT - Respiratory Therapist
Job Details:
* 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM or mid shifts from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM (5x8s per week)
* Every other weekend required per schedule
* May be required to participate in holiday rotation on a 4-week rotating schedule
* No on-call or standby call requirements
* Average 90-100 treatments per day
* Cover multiple areas including inpatient (med-surg, PCU, ICU), ER, rehab, PACU, SNF, endo, cath lab, SDS, and outpatient ABGs and 6-minute walks
* Treat adults, pediatric, and neonatal patients (no NICU, in ER or peds setting)
* Perform floor duties, breathing treatments, ABGs, capillary sticks for I-Stats, and manage respiratory equipment
* Assist with intubations only - independent intubation not required
* No EKG responsibilities
* Charge RT on shift for all non-weekday shifts; supervisor/director on-site Monday through Friday
* Will never be the only RT in-house
* Equipment includes Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators, BiPAP V60s, and Airvo 2 high flow devices
* 4-week rotation schedule with no self-scheduling; scheduling requests and RTOs will be accommodated
* 1-3 orientation shifts with a preceptor as needed
* Charting system: Cerner
* Teal scrub color required; acceptable scrub pattern shirts permitted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
* RRT required or CRT acceptable for those grandfathered in by the WV Board of Respiratory Care
* Prefer 3-4 years of experience; will accept first-time travelers
* Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius
* WV CARES required prior to start
