Job Details:

* Assist staff members with implementation of total resident/patient plan of care
* Provide assistance with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, ambulating, and skin care
* Take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff in a timely manner
* Monitor and record resident/patient intake and output according to unit standards
* Report changes in vital signs or measurements promptly to Supervisor/Charge Nurse
* Follow procedures for Universal Precautions at all times
* Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient related issues and support resident/patient rights
* Assist with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit, facility and services
* Deliver patient/resident care promptly and accurately as directed by RN/LPN
* Work collaboratively as part of healthcare team
* Must hold active Maine C.N.A License
* Demonstrate effective listening skills and ability to empathize with residents, patients and families
* Must reside 50+ miles from facility
* Facility may call off or cancel up to three shifts per 13-week assignment
* Local candidates accepted but will receive $5/hour lower rate
