Opportunity:
Physician Recruitment Specialist
Job Details:
* Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* Local position based in New York, NY
* Support the growth of the health system by assisting the Senior Director of Physician Recruitment with logistics of the recruitment and onboarding process
* Develop and maintain working knowledge of the health system and regional communities to assist with candidate inquiries
* Manage the physician recruitment database to maintain status of all candidates and active searches
* Coordinate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and maintain a weekly status list of all active searches
* Assist with candidate interview process including telephone coordination and confirmation with candidates and clients
* Facilitate site visits for physician candidates including planning for travel, lodging, meals, welcome gifts, and itineraries
* Assist with academic appointments, contracts, and coordination with medical colleges for new hire academic appointment applications
* Develop and maintain knowledge of local physician employment agreements, offer packages, compensation, and benefits
* Manage costs effectively, audit and submit expenses for approval and payment
* Assist in design and development of physician recruitment marketing materials, literature, and websites
* Coordinate and manage the New Physician Welcome program
* Assist with candidate reimbursement process for incidental expenses
* Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
* Previous healthcare, sales, marketing, or recruiting background preferred with knowledge of the medical/physician community
* Knowledge of the physician credentialing process is a plus
* Must be comfortable communicating regularly with leaders and physicians
* Medical terminology knowledge required
* Executive Assistant experience preferred
* Superior marketing, public relations, verbal, and written communication skills required
* Strong computer technology skills including Microsoft Office required
* Demonstrated ability to conduct efficient Internet research
* Flexibility to attend meetings and work from various locations
