Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* Work in a high-volume emergency department with 48 headwalls and approximately 25 additional treatment spaces
* Acuity-based patient ratios
* Perform procedures including moderate sedation, RSI, CPR, PIV/IO, splinting, EKG, blood transfusion, TNK administration, cardiac monitoring, stroke assessment, trauma assessment, resuscitation, and sepsis workups
* Strong clinical and rapid patient assessment skills required
* Must demonstrate critical thinking and ability to recognize changes in patient condition
* Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Trauma experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center preferred
* 2+ years of experience in a high-volume emergency department preferred
* Self-motivated team player personality required
* Required certifications: TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI
* EMR system: Meditech
* Equipment used: Emergency/Trauma/Critical Care GE/Stryker/Plum 360
* Dress code: Navy scrubs
* Shift begins 15 minutes prior to scheduled shift time; must be prepared to clock in, receive huddle, and assume patient care
* Must clock out and in for a full 30-34 minutes for lunch each shift
* No food or drink permitted in patient care areas
* No personal bags permitted in patient care areas
* No on-call or weekend requirements

This emergency department operates on the first floor of the main building and features a large capacity with 48 headwalls and approximately 25 additional treatment spaces. The department is staffed with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, flow navigators, registered nurses, paramedics, emergency department technicians, and unit clerks across both day and night shifts. The facility emphasizes a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck team culture focused on delivering high-quality emergency and trauma care.
