CT/Rad Tech

Job Details:

* Primarily Monday through Friday schedule, with weekend coverage required when weekend staff have PTO or unexpected absences - advance notice provided when weekend work is needed
* Schedule is managed in 6-week increments by the department manager
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday rotation required, typically covering 50-75% of holidays during contract
* Average patient volume of 25-30 patients per day
* Float between CT and X-ray departments, including OR portables and bedside portables
* CT responsibilities include ED, outpatient, and inpatient patient types, primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric patients
* CT cases include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, trauma, biopsies (training provided), and Cardiac CTA (training provided)
* X-ray responsibilities include outpatient, inpatient, ED/ICU/MedSurg, and operating room coverage
* X-ray procedures include fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, ortho trauma, ICU, MedSurg, and ER imaging (chest X-ray, abdominal scans, vascular)
* Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
* IV start skills and biopsy experience highly preferred
* OR/C-arm and fluoroscopy experience highly preferred but not required - must be comfortable being trained in these areas
* Please indicate in submission whether traveler has OR/C-arm and fluoroscopy experience and comfort level with being trained on-site
* EMR: Cerner
* PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
* CT Equipment: Siemens X.Cite and GE 16 slice PET CT (used as backup) - experience with Siemens or GE preferred but not required
* X-ray equipment includes Siemens, T-Rad with Siemens ART PIX, Canon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm, Phillips C-arm, OEC C-arm, Siemens Portable, GE AMX 4 portable, and Mini C-arm for ortho scans
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (R) - CT, Maine State License
* Dress code: Any solid color scrubs or hospital-issued scrubs
* Free parking available on-site
* 1 to 1.5 weeks of orientation provided based on comfort level

Facility:

This is an 89-bed licensed teaching facility offering a comprehensive range of imaging services. The radiology department features one CT room, one PET CT room used as a backup CT machine, and three X-ray rooms including general and fluoroscopy/pain clinic rooms. The department is supported by a lead tech, internal transport, and on-site radiologist coverage, with remote radiologist availability after hours. The facility serves a diverse patient population spanning emergency, outpatient, and inpatient settings.
