Opportunity:

RAPID RESPONSE

Job Details:

* 48-hour rapid response assignment spanning 6 weeks
* Mid-shift schedule with hours ranging as early as 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM or as late as 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM
* Every third weekend required
* No requested time off or special scheduling accommodations
* Must be available to start within 5-7 days of offer
* 24-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio
* Unit secretary available 21 hours per day with 5 RN core staff
* Work with Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
* Documentation completed using Meditech system
* Floating is rare and only occurs if other staff have been flexed home
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center required
* Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage required
* Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
* Use of AIDET communication framework and whiteboards for patient experience
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, NIH
* Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, TCRN
* Current Kansas RN license required
* Required dress code: Cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants in solid colors and closed-toe shoes

The facility provides comprehensive emergency and trauma care services, including STEMI care, stroke care, and sepsis management, supported by a dedicated team of nursing staff and unit secretaries.
