RN - MedSurg/Tele

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
* Holidays worked in rotation with permanent staff
* First to float between the 300 unit (14 beds) and the main unit (44 beds)
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Nurse aides available on all shifts - one on night shift, one on mid shift, and 3-4 on day shift
* Charting system: Cerner EMR
* Telemetry experience required - Phillips system with monitor tech available; nurses must read strips
* Experience with drips required: amiodarone, heparin, cardizem, fixed rate insulin, nitro, and dopamine (renal dosing only)
* BiPAP and CPAP experience beneficial; no ventilator management required
* Common patient populations include surgical, orthopedic, and medical patients on the 300 unit, and cardiac-focused stepdown patients on the main unit including post-cath, post-pacemaker, post-PCI, TAVR, CABG, sepsis, and respiratory distress
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* Hospitalist or intensivist available on call after hours
* Scrub color: Navy
* 6 hours of floor-specific orientation provided
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* BSN not required
* Valid state nursing license required for submission

The facility supports comprehensive cardiac monitoring with Phillips telemetry and 24/7 respiratory therapy services.
