Opportunity:
Radiation Therapist
Job Details:
* Day shift, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* Full-time position with no weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
* Perform radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients
* Operate specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician, including Trilogy and/or Trubean machines
* Treat cancer and osteoarthritis patients utilizing SBRT, IMRT, basic radiation therapy, and breath-hold treatments
* Two therapists per machine with a patient load of 15 to 25 patients per day
* Keep treatment records and prepare operational reports as required
* Maintain, store, and order supplies and equipment
* Provide quality patient care in relation to the patient's prescribed diagnosis, treatment, age group, and development
* Preferred dress code: olive green pants and black shirts
* Associate Degree required
* LSRT/BE in Radiation Therapy for Louisiana required
* RADTH ARRT certification required
* BLS from AHA required
