Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - OBGYN

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* Floating required as needed between Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista locations
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required; 1 year in OBGYN required
* Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Secondary OBGYN questionnaire required and will be sent at time of submission
* Room patients, obtain vital signs, and record patient histories and medications
* Perform blood and specimen collection, venipuncture, and urinalysis
* Assist with OB visits, GYN consults, and OBGYN procedures including PAP, Colpo, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Administer medications including intramuscular injections and immunizations
* Conduct follow-up phone calls and telephone triage
* Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly
* Provide assistance in QA measures including recording QC testing on designated equipment
* Monitor own workflow to identify opportunities for improvement
* Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings
* Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies, and guidelines

This facility is a large OBGYN practice with approximately 20 providers, specializing in women's reproductive health. The facility offers a comprehensive range of services including women's health care, OB visits, GYN consults, and OBGYN procedures.
