Opportunity:

RN NICU NIGHTS

Job Details:

* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* 12-hour shifts with a 1:2 patient ratio
* 6 to 8 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required per 6-week period, typically 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, and 2 Sundays
* One 12-hour on-call shift required every 6 weeks
* Potential to float to Mother Baby Unit (infant care only) or sister facilities based on facility need
* Self-scheduling unit
* 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with required experience
* Required certifications: RN license, BLS, NRP
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy
* Average daily census of 48 with a 55-bed unit
* Care for neonates and infants ranging from 22 weeks to post-term, with a specialization in micro preemies under 28 weeks
* Required skills include: administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, bubble CPAP, central line care, high frequency ventilation, neonatal dosage calculations, UAC/UVC management, ventilator management, and additional specialized neonatal procedures

Facility:

This facility is home to the largest Level III NICU in metro Denver, operating a 55-bed unit with a dedicated delivery service specializing in micro preemies under 28 weeks gestation. The unit supports a high-risk delivery service and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary care including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment for its neonatal patient population.
