Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* 12-hour evening shifts
* Ability to float to any UCSF campus facility
* Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of approximately 60 patients across 17 beds and 15 rooms
* Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
* Pediatric Emergency Department experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
* BSN required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN License, AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, OCN, SANE, TNCC
* Interdisciplinary support available including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Clinical skills required include triage, intubation, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, BiPAP/CPAP management, procedural sedation, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, ICP monitoring, and phlebotomy
* Experience managing conditions including trauma, stroke, psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, drug overdose, seizures, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and multisystem organ dysfunction
