Open Position: RN - Oncology

Opportunity:

Pediatric Oncology/Infusion Clinic RN

Job Details:

* Work 5x8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* No weekend requirement
* No on-call required
* May float between 2 departments based on facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, APHON, PALS
* Experience required in monitoring chemotherapy, administration of chemotherapy, pediatric oncology, and MedSurg
* Patient ratio of 4:1 during day shifts
* Scrub color: Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
* Charting system: EPIC
* Patient age groups include infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* Perform and assist with procedures including administration of blood and blood products, chemotherapy administration, central line blood draws, central line and implanted line care, peripheral IV insertion and care, IV pain management, IV antibiotics, EKGs, and manual exchange phlebotomy
* Manage and care for ports and central line access
* Monitor patients with diagnoses including sickle cell disease, vascular malformation, and benign hematology
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The pediatric oncology and infusion clinic unit operates with a daily census of approximately 15 patients and 8 rooms, seeing around 8 visits per day. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services to ensure high-quality patient care.
