RN MS ONC NIGHTS

Job Details:

* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* Weekend availability required per unit needs
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios: 1:4 day shift, 1:5 night shift; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
* Candidates must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
* 36-bed Oncology/GYN-ONC/Palliative/Med Tele unit serving adult patients
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister facilities
* Scrub color: Navy
* 2 years of acute care experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, Colorado or Compact RN license
* Oncology certification preferred but not required; Chemo certifications (ONS/ONCC) preferred
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, central line care and blood draw, PICC line care, IV push administration of chemotherapy, PCA pump management, neutropenic precautions, wound care, foley catheter insertion/management, sepsis management, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services

Facility:

This inpatient facility features a dedicated oncology and medical-surgical unit providing comprehensive care for oncology, gynecologic oncology, palliative, and medical telemetry patients. The 36-bed unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, interpretation services, and social services, ensuring well-rounded patient care in a high-acuity environment.
