RN Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
* Various days of the week including weekends per unit needs
* No on-call required
* 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
* 28-bed inpatient cardiac unit with med/surg overflow
* Patient population includes cardiac/telemetry vascular patients, CABG patients (2-3 days out), cath lab patients, and TAVR patients
* Experience managing cardiac drips required including amiodarone, insulin, nitroglycerin, cardizem, and heparin
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 days, 1:5 nights; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs - candidates must be comfortable working in flexible staffing ratio environments
* Floating required to med/surg units and potentially to sister facilities based on facility needs
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Colorado or compact RN license required
* Key skills required include cardiac telemetry, telemetry monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac and insulin drips, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, TAVR, pacemaker management, blood product administration, and central line care/management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
