Opportunity:
RN - PACU
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts with variable start times
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if requisite job specifications are met
* Patient ratios: 2:1 during days and weekends, 3:1 during nights
* Serves patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 50 patients
* Outpatient surgery center setting focusing on same-day procedures (excluding orthopedic and cardiac)
* Provide airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management care
* Must be able to work in pre-op and extended care units in addition to PACU
* Proficiency with Epic charting system required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
* Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
* 2 years of critical care experience preferred
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: CCRN or CPAN
* Required skills include: Phase I PACU, arterial line management, IV vasopressors, central line care/management, phlebotomy, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, straight urinary catheterization, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services and pharmacy
