Job Details:

* Float pool position - will not be assigned a home unit and will float between approximately 5 units across all Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments and other Metro campuses as needed
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum of 8 weekend shifts required every six weeks, with a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
* Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments required as needed per unit
* No on-call required
* Block scheduling not available
* Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility - no local candidates accepted
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
* Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks (cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length)
* 1 to 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Pending licenses not accepted - Missouri or Compact license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS
* Required skills: Cardiac Telemetry, Telemetry (on-unit monitoring), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, Neuro Stepdown, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, and management of conditions including Sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, Renal Failure, AFIB, GIB, and Stroke
* Preferred skills: Sheath Removal, Feeding tube care and management, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, and Central line care/management
* Charting system: Epic
* Special equipment used: Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell
* Interdisciplinary support available: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Patients served: Adults and Geriatrics
