Opportunity:

Radiography Orientation Instructor

Job Details:

* 30?40 hours per week with full-time hours available based on candidate preference
* Onsite position at Mission Center Building
* Class schedule: Monday 9:00 AM?12:00 PM and 5:30?8:30 PM, Tuesday 6:30?9:30 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM?12:00 PM and 5:30?8:30 PM, Thursday 6:30?9:30 PM
* Plan and deliver the program's orientation curriculum for newly admitted radiography students
* Introduce students to program policies, professional expectations, patient-safety, and radiation-safety fundamentals
* Work under the direction of the Program Director and in coordination with the Clinical Coordinator
* Support students in transitioning successfully into the healthcare learning environment
* Ensure each incoming cohort receives a consistent, equitable, and well-documented orientation experience
* Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and professional learning environment
* Maintain accurate orientation completion records
* Proficiency with standard office software and learning management/student information platforms required
* Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field required (or equivalent experience/training)
* Knowledge of radiography program structure and professional expectations required
* Working knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety fundamentals required
* Familiarity with JRCERT supervision policies and program compliance requirements required
* Strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal

Facility:

This leading academic medical center operates an 18-month, full-time entry-level radiography program developed in partnership with a local community college, designed to prepare students for competent, compassionate entry-level practice as radiologic technologists. The program integrates asynchronous online coursework, face-to-face laboratory sessions, and supervised clinical rotations across multiple affiliated imaging sites. The curriculum is structured to develop clinical competence, critical thinking, effective communication, and professionalism, and the program is pursuing accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and approval from the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch (RHB).
