Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* Work 3x9-hour shifts, Friday through Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required with preference for 2 years of experience
* Required certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
* EPIC charting system experience required
* Must be proficient in cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
* Must be experienced in High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures
* Must be experienced in use of washers and sterilizers
* Must be knowledgeable in case cart management and proper selection of wrapping materials
* Must be proficient in sterilization wrapping procedures and sets/trays assembly
* Must be experienced in equipment documentation
* Must have experience in surgical specialties including Ear/Nose/Throat, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology
* Must be knowledgeable in biological indicators, chemical indicators, and steam sterilization testing and monitoring
* Must be experienced in immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be included at time of submittal
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

This short-term acute care facility operates with 325 staffed beds and provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical services to the community. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and supports a robust sterile processing department equipped to handle a wide variety of surgical specialties.
