Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule is either 4x12 or 3x12 nights
* Weekday and weekend shifts required with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Must reside at a permanent address at least 100 miles from the facility
* Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
* Scrubs not provided
* Facility allows a maximum of 2-3 call-offs per contract
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* Key skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, PICC line management, heparin protocols, and PCA management

Facility:

This facility operates a dynamic 34-bed medical/surgical unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit features clinical nurse coordinators on every shift who facilitate daily huddles, manage patient flow, and round on patients. An acuity tool is utilized to optimize patient assignments and ensure appropriate staffing levels, supported by a collaborative team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians committed to high-quality, patient-centered care.
