Job Details:
* 4x10 day shift schedule
* Work in an operating room environment performing scrub and circulating roles across multiple surgical specialties
* Scrub experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Required surgical skills include but are not limited to: lobe/lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and trauma surgery
* Additional competencies required: fire safety, cell saver, blood/blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol, and wound management
* 40 orientation hours included

This short-term acute care facility features 325 staffed beds and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system. The facility supports a broad range of surgical services across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, thoracic, urology, ENT, and trauma. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires experienced surgical nursing professionals to support its diverse operative caseload.
