Opportunity:

Neuro EXP Tele RN

Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Float between units as needed to meet unit needs
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Neurology unit experience highly recommended
* Must be proficient with the NIH scale and caring for a variety of neurology diagnoses
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
* Unit specializes in neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patient diagnoses
* Designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
* Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation
* NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center
* Scrub color: Any color
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. With 629 total staffed beds, it operates as a teaching hospital offering a wide range of specialized services. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support.
