CT Scan Tech

Job Details:

* Work 4x10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM at Main location
* Holiday rotation required
* No on-call required
* Floating required between all buildings and sister facilities as needed
* Daily caseload varies per shift and location
* 3 CT scan rooms available
* Daily census of 130 patients
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Perform routine studies, outpatient imaging, cardiac, and interventional radiology procedures
* Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center experience required
* Perform procedures including abdomen, chest, brain perfusion, vascular CTA, musculoskeletal trauma, myelography, and colonography
* Perform interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations, and drainage
* Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurements
* Perform contrast media preparation and administration
* Operate Siemens Force, Siemens Go.Top, and Siemens Somatom Definition equipment
* Proficiency with Epic charting system required
* Experience with PACS and Sectra systems required
* Peripheral IV (PIV) insertion experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with previous relevant experience
* Radiation badge must be supplied by agency
* Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
* Parking pass available for a one-time payment of $20 (nights and weekends only)
* Attend all staff meetings
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA(R)(CT)
* South Carolina license must be in hand at time of start
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission

Facility:

This is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 865 total staffed beds. The facility offers a full range of imaging services including routine studies, outpatient imaging, cardiac procedures, and interventional radiology. The department utilizes Siemens imaging technology and operates with Epic as its charting system, providing a high-acuity environment with robust interdisciplinary support.
