Job Details:

* 4x12 or 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule includes weekdays and weekends with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* No scrubs provided
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry and remote monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, PCA management, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift with daily huddles and patient rounding
* Attendance expectations: facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles from the facility

This facility is home to a dynamic 34-bed medical/surgical unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit utilizes an acuity tool to optimize patient assignments and ensure appropriate staffing levels, while clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift. The organization maintains high standards of patient-centered care and fosters a collaborative environment among registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians.
