Job Details:

* Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* 10-hour shifts required
* Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Block scheduling not required
* Daily census ratio of 7 patients
* Work within the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room department
* May be asked to float to sister hospital emergency department to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Conduct crisis risk assessments and mental health evaluations for adults and pediatric patients
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments and complete intake and admission screenings
* Provide crisis intervention and level of care recommendations as a consultant directed by an ED attending provider or APP
* Work with patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Assess patient risk for danger to self, danger to others, or gravely disabled status
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning and coordinate with internal and external team members
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Hospital experience preferred
* Full independent licensure required associate license will not suffice
* Must be licensed as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC
* Washington state license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
* 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center as well as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds. It operates as a teaching hospital and utilizes Epic for charting. The emergency department provides around-the-clock care for both adult and pediatric patients, with a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure continuity of care.
