Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
* 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, cardiac drip management without titration, vasoactive drip management without titration, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care and management, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement
* Special equipment includes BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and HHF
* Float to other units possible
* No on-call requirements
* Up to two pre-approved time off requests allowed
* 50-mile radius rule applies - no local candidates

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with the ability to provide complex care to PCI and open-heart surgery patients. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
