PACU RN

Job Details:

* Shift times: 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, open to 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
* No on-call required
* No weekends required
* No block schedules required
* Expected patient ratio of 1:3
* Float required between pre-op, post-op, and PACU units
* Will accept first-time travelers if experienced in all phases of care
* Minimum of 2 years of experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: any color
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 36-52 patients across 21 rooms
* Special procedures include colon/EGD, urology, neuro, orthopedics, GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry, RFA, paracentesis, diagnostic imaging biopsies, cath lab procedures, vascular, general surgery, ENT, and plastics
* Special equipment includes DaVinci and Mako systems
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
