Opportunity:

AN - IMCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* 36 or 48 hours per week available
* Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed
* Floating to other units required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* EMR experience required: EPIC
* 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU required
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active NY RN license required with NURSYS verification
* Common diagnoses include Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op patients
* Specialty equipment includes temporary pacer, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo
* Ventilator experience required - chronic vents with respiratory therapy support for weaning
* Patient population: Adults 18 years and older
* Unit consists of 64 beds with 15 designated Neuro beds

This healthcare facility operates a large Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with 64 beds, including 15 designated neurology beds, providing comprehensive intermediate level care to adult patients. The unit is equipped with advanced specialty equipment and supports a diverse patient population with complex diagnoses spanning neurology, cardiology, trauma, and respiratory care. The facility maintains a robust respiratory therapy team to assist with ventilator management and offers a dynamic clinical environment for experienced nursing professionals.
