Opportunity:

RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
* Every third weekend required, with weekend call including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
* Weekday call required Monday through Thursday
* On-call responsibilities required - traveler must stay within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs is possible but highly unlikely
* Patient ratios are 1:1 in the procedure suite; pre-op and discharge can be 4:1
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Scrubs provided in navy blue
* Free parking with pass distributed at pickup
* Performs procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and EUS
* Required skills include airway management, balloon dilators, circulating, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, esophageal varices and banding, specimen handling/labeling, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Works with Olympus scopes, Olympus towers, and gGastro imaging software
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams

This acute care hospital operates with 75 staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of medical services to its patient population. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The endoscopy unit performs a high volume of specialized procedures in a well-equipped environment utilizing advanced imaging technology and modern endoscopic equipment.
