Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* Strong Cardiac Telemetry experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
* Self-scheduling with a staffing ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required during each 6-week schedule period
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Float to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units they are qualified for
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Charting system: Pyxis; Epic experience preferred
* Free parking available
* Care for adult patients with cardiac diagnoses including chest pain and arrhythmias (e.g., A-fib, intermittent VT) as well as patients with cardiac medical histories requiring telemetry monitoring
* Perform and support procedures including heart catheterization, nuclear stress tests, cardioversion, ablation, and pacemaker/ICD implant or upgrade
* Manage various drips including heparin, cardizem, nitroglycerin, and insulin
* Work with telemetry monitors and utilize interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac drips, pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery care, PICC line management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and use of rapid response/code teams

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a community hospital offering specialized cardiac telemetry care with an average daily census of approximately 24 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains modern equipment including telemetry monitors and utilizes Epic EMR to support high-quality patient care.
