Opportunity:
Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech
Job Details:
* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* On-call required: 8-10 call shifts per month including weekend coverage
* 2 Cath Lab rooms
* Perform procedures including Pediatric/Adult Transplant, Right/Left Biopsy, Balloon, Stent, and Valve Placement
* May also include interventional radiology (IR) procedures, preferably pediatric
* Experience in Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab preferred; EP experience preferred
* Charting system: EPIC
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association only), CCI with RCIS/RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Skills required include: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult and Pediatric/Neonatal), and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
* Primary patient diagnoses include congenital heart patients, heart cath procedures, pediatric/adult transplant, biopsy, balloon/stents, and valve replacements
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* Parking cost applies on nights and weekends only with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
* Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November), with peak activity in August and September

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 865 total staffed beds. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac care including advanced pediatric catheterization lab services and utilizes EPIC as its primary charting system. As a Magnet-designated hospital and teaching institution, the facility maintains high standards of clinical excellence and supports a robust range of complex cardiac and interventional radiology procedures.
