RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius
* Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required (at least 1 year of recent experience)
* Postpartum experience required
* Ability to circulate C-sections required
* Previous travel assignment required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* California RN license required
* BSN required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
* Skills include: Labor and Delivery, postpartum care, neonatal resuscitation, C-section circulation and recovery, use of external and internal fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, epidural anesthesia, pitocin administration, hemorrhage/shock management, high-risk antepartum care, newborn assessment, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of electronic fetal monitoring
* Patient population includes straightforward patients mixed with high acuity patients with co-morbidities, homebirth transfers, and patients without prenatal care
* Staffing per AWHONN guidelines
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and time off cannot be within the first two weeks of start
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submission
* Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility must be included in employment history
