Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
* 1 weekend shift per month: Friday evening through Monday AM every 4-5 weeks
* Call requirements include 2 weekday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM and weekend call every 4-5 weeks starting Friday 7:00 PM through Monday AM at 6:30 AM
* Two call teams rotate every 12 hours from 1st to 2nd call; provider is not on primary call the entire weekend
* May also be assigned holiday call if it falls on their schedule
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Staffing ratio of 1:1
* Average daily census of 35-45 patients
* Must be willing to stay until all cases are completed and maintain flexible scheduling
* Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab diagnostic and intervention including structural procedures
* First-time travelers not accepted; prior travel experience and lab experience with all procedures required
* Patient population includes adult cardiology and structural cardiology
* Special procedures include LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, shockwave, IVUS, Penumbra, TAVR, Watchman, and mitral and tricuspid valve procedures
* Special equipment includes Cerner EHR, Siemens Artiz Z & Q radiology equipment, Impella, IABP, Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS, CTO-Abbott, and Shockwave
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD), and ARRT(R)
* Must have active WV license in hand to start assignment
* RCIS or RCES credentials are not accepted; WV does not consider RCIS as licensed to work in the Cath Lab
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrubs provided
* Free parking available for travelers
* No floating to sister facilities required
* Skills required include diagnostic cardiac cath lab, interventional cardiac cath lab, cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, scrub procedures, sterile technique, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

This is a large short-term acute care facility with 838 staffed beds, operating as a Level IV Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital. The facility is a proud member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) and supports a very busy catheterization lab environment.
