Job Details:
* LDRP OB nurse position covering all areas of OB including triage, labor, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care
* Weekends required, equally split amongst staff
* No block schedules required
* Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6
* Floating may be required to assist with skills when no patients are on L&D (answering phones, IV starts); no patient assignments in other areas
* On-call required a maximum of once per pay period with a 30-minute callback time
* 24-hour orientation
* Self-scheduling
* Seasoned travelers only; travel experience required with a minimum of 1 year of experience required
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Any color; OR scrubs provided
* No parking fee
* Must work at least one summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day)
* Must work at least one winter holiday scheduled in pairs: Thanksgiving + Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas + Christmas Eve, or New Year's + New Year's Eve
* Special procedures include wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for PPH
* Patient diagnoses include PIH and NAS
* Patient age groups: Neonates, Infants, Adults
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, CLC*, Stable*
* Required skills: Circulate for C-section, Labor & Delivery, LDRP, sterile vaginal exam, triage of obstetrical patients
* Compact license must be in hand at submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
Facility:
This is a small critical access hospital with 22 total staff beds and 3 OB rooms. The facility provides a comprehensive range of interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The OB unit utilizes modern technology including wireless fetal monitoring and JADA devices for postpartum hemorrhage management.
