Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Block scheduling type
* Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Float to other units may be required
* No on-call requirements
* Up to two pre-approved time-off requests allowed
* 24-hour orientation provided
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Manage patients with diagnoses including heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care and management
* Perform special procedures including emergent cardioversion and central line placement
* Operate special equipment including BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and high-flow heated humidification
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Facility:

This facility operates a 24-bed Progressive Care, Stepdown, and Telemetry floor providing complex care to a wide range of patients. The facility is a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with the capability to support PCI and open-heart surgery patients. The organization is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
