Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 day shifts with 36 weekly guaranteed hours
* No on-call requirements
* Patient ratios determined by acuity and workload, typically 1:4 up to 1:6
* Care for patients on a 38-bed telemetry unit staffed with RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs, and Advanced Care Techs
* Treat patient population including CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures
* Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
* May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry/medical appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and additional facility locations
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
* May be required to work major holidays
* Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required
* Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)

Facility:

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced 800 inpatient bed hospital serving a 500-mile radius, operating at the volume and pace of a Level 1 trauma center. The facility holds Level 2 trauma center designation and stroke accreditation, with 80 emergency room beds. The organization is home to a children's hospital, a robotic surgery institute, and comprehensive heart, cancer, brain, and nerve care services. The facility has pioneered numerous regional firsts including the area's only accredited heart failure center, first Institute for Neurosciences, first low-dose CT imaging, first Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, and first dedicated PET/CT scanner.
