Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive nursing care in a six-bed medical observation step-down unit
* Care for post-surgical patients and post cardiac catheterization patients including post PCI
* Manage patients with conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, AKI, and unstable arrhythmias
* Initiate, titrate, and manage vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
* Perform ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
* Monitor and interpret telemetry readings
* Manage sepsis, central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes
* Administer blood products
* Operate medication infusion pumps, rapid infusers, bedside cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and bladder scanners
* Patient ratios: Critical Care 2:1, Step-Down 4:1, Standard 6:1
* Ability to float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, Step-Down, and Observation floors required
* No more than 3 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
* Critical care nursing experience required
