Opportunity:

RN - ER/Med Surg

Job Details:

* 36 hours per week working 12-hour shifts
* Every other weekend and holiday required
* 1 call shift required in a 13-week contract
* Float between Emergency Room and Med Surg units
* Perform Med Surg and ER nursing duties
* Function independently in the ER and in the Med Surg unit with up to 5 patients
* Med/Surg nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 3 to 4 to 1 depending on census and acuity
* 25-bed unit/department
* Charting system: EPIC (1 day of computer training provided)
* Equipment utilized: Sanford One Charge, Pyxis
* 1 day of ER training and 1 day of Med Surg training provided
* Dress code: Navy scrubs with no logos; white may be worn underneath uniform or as a white lab coat
* Badge in and out at facility required
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Minimum 6 months of Med Surg experience in the past year required
* Minimum 6 months of ER experience in the past year required
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), TNCC
* PALS required
* TNCC preferred

The facility supports a 25-bed unit and utilizes modern technology including EPIC for charting and Pyxis for medication management.
