Opportunity:

RN PCU

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
* First-time travelers accepted; PCU/ICU experience of approximately 2 years requested for first contracts
* Weekend shifts required per unit needs, every other to every third weekend based on needs
* No on-call requirements
* Floating to med/surg floors and sister units within the region required as needed
* Care for a mixed patient population including cardiac, minor trauma, respiratory, and mildly unstable hemodynamic patients
* All rooms are negative pressure capable and equipped with ceiling lifts
* Unit consists of 12 beds with a daily census of 10 patients
* Adult patient population only
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Colorado nursing license or compact license required and must be in hand
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and computerized documentation
* Special equipment used includes BiPAP, stable trached vents, A-lines, and Airvo
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
