Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with a self-scheduling format
* Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts including days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required at least every other weekend
* No on-call requirements
* Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
* Department sees approximately 20 visits per day across 7 rooms/beds
* Must be available to float as needed to Anderson County Hospital
* Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
* 1 year of emergency department experience required
* Trauma Level IV experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Pending license accepted
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Required skills: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage
* Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams

This is a Critical Access Hospital with 25 total staffed beds, providing essential healthcare services to its surrounding community. The facility utilizes Epic for electronic charting and offers interdisciplinary support through respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The emergency department operates around the clock serving a broad patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics.
